BURNOUT - WORDS, MEANINGS, ACTIONS.
Physician burnout seem to have become a lot like the weather; widely experienced, much discussed, but little occurs to change it. Physicians provide better quality care when they are fully engaged in their professional environment. This session will explore the language and meaning of burnout from an historical perspective. It will walk quickly through some steps from scheduling to advocacy that physicians may use to find engagement and joy in their work again.
